Youth Advocacy is vitally important to the mission and purposes of the Motif Awards. The Motif Awards’ mission, “to promote and support the local and global community through optimum education and development of youth and to influence and honor the professional growth of educators, and others who are committed to the needs of children in a changing society,” is at the core of the Motif Awards. The Motif Awards is committed to the universal ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, the fulfillment of the Millennium Development Goals, Education for All, and many other causes supporting the education and well-being of children. Motif Awards recognizes consultative status with the United States (US) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The Motif Awards honor those who strongly advocates for children and supports members who strive to improve the conditions for children throughout the world.

On Sunday, September 9, 2018, an outstanding lineup of entertainers gather in the Walt Disney Concert Hall to salute John Travolta, recipient of the 2018 Motif Award for Walt Disney Lifetime Legacy Medal of Honor. The Ceremony, which is widely regarded as the official global recognition and world’s highest honor for child advocacy, will be given at a gala performance and private ceremony featuring some of the biggest names in hollywood, and taped for broadcast nationwide.
